Holiday confusion and packing tips

I'm currently in the UK for my holidays and let me tell you, it was hard.

On the ticket we said we wanted to leave on a certain date (I'll use the 19th as an example) and it said we get on the plane at 11:45pm and depart at 00:05. When we went to check in, we were told that we had missed our flight. We were all confused and she explained that they had this 24 hour policy meaning the date we booked for was yesterday. I did understand where she was coming from but boarding the plane and leaving the country are two completely different things. If you book for a flight on a certain date it means the boarding time not the departure. Luckily, we did get some seats however we had to pay, despite there being room on the plane , like what?!

So for anyone booking flights that cross link between to days : always check when you need to go.

Tip on packing
We had heard it was going to warm for the first time in the UK so, I packed things like crop tops, short sleeves, skirts, shirts and two pair of trainers as well as flip flops and shorts. I usually under pack so, I put a lot of clothes into the suitcase. However my mum told me a good tip on how to pack properly and have enough room to do a massive shop on holiday.

For clothes, make them into outfits, then you'll know what you need to take away. Take a lot of tops but a very few bottoms.

For shoes, pack home or really casual shoes that you can travel in if necessary such as slippers or flip flops. Pack a pair of shoes to go out to the shops  such as trainers, sneakers, hi tops or flats. Finally, fancy or nice shoes you'd wear to go to a fancy dinner or go out with your friends like heels, nice sneakers, formal flats or even stilettos.

Make up  and soaps are quite easy, put them in your make up travel case or a make up bag. You may fill it up as much as you want (put jewellery and accessories in it as well) then put this in a bag you aren't going to be taking as handlugguage but a bag you will be taking in your suitcase. Tip: to prevent products spilling, tie a plastic bag over the top or put them in a bag. Not only will this trick prevent spillage, it will keep everything else from spilling to.

Hope you enjoyed these tips and my story and I'll see you soon.
